GG's shoes

I was pretty psyched when my grandma asked for a couple pairs of shoes! I made a WSU pair (duh!) and a pair for Maui.

Mom's Coug shoes!

Mom wanted something a little more simple, but still with the same kick (pun intended) as my sister's shoes.

Coug shoes!

Here's the pair I made for my sister for the Coug game! She thinks she may want to color in the white eventually to keep them from getting too dirty, but overall the concept was "Go Cougs!!"

Star Wars shoes

I had a request for some Star Wars shoes, definitely a new thing for me! They were lots of fun to draw and plan out!

Coldplay inspiration :)

One of my favorite bands is Coldplay and I absolutely fell in love with the song Paradise!-partially because it reminds me of myself and partially because I danced around my work holding one of my most favorite kids to that song :)

Maui inspired shoes!

 My favorite place in the world is Kaanapali, Maui.  Therefore, I had to do some shoes as a tribute to this wonderful place! I chose neon colors because they remind me of Maui..

 A hibiscus flower (because who doesn't associate this with Hawaii??)

 I did plumeria on the inner parts of the shoes, I love plumeria so much I got a tattoo of one :)

C's shoes

 These were made for my sister, who wanted a peacock color scheme.  Only after I sent her a picture of the shoes did she say "Not an actual peacock feather!!" So may I remind you, please be specific about what you want! Thankfully, C is okay with having these :)

 I did some swirls on the right shoe and a peacock feather on the left.

Like I am with plaid, C is with polka dots.  When I get stuck and need some advice on what to do with some white space, C is first to say "POLKA DOTS!!!!"

WSU shoes!!

 If you know me, then you know I'm obsessed with WSU. So is my family...so I made these to wear to games in the fall/winter when they are hopefully going to make it down here (the new Pac-12 is really cramping my game-watching style)

 The start of the shoes.  The silver made the black bleed a little into the red, I got super excited and made sure to do that all over the WSU emblem and Cougars!

 The finished product! I discovered I'm obsessed with plaid and apparently stripes :)

Marilyn Monroe Shoes

 Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol inspired)

 I made these for my friend K who is IN LOVE with Marilyn Monroe.

There's some cheetah print on the side for her other love, animal print!

 K loves pink too, so I had to include that ALL over the shoe :)

On one shoe, the Andy Warhol inspired Marilyn face and a diamond on the other.  Because diamonds are a girl's best friend :)

Shoes!

So after quite a few attempts at painting shoes, I've decided that I'll start making them for friends/family/strangers.  It takes me a couple of days to come up with ideas and complete the shoes, totaling about a week per pair of shoes. 

I'm currently buying shoes from Target.  There are some pretty cute Mossimo white canvas shoes there, but I can do pretty much any pair of canvas shoes.
